Maarten Derammelaere

I'm a backend developer at iO, working mainly with PHP and Symfony to build APIs and applications for clients. I'm based in Ghent, where I was born and raised.

Away from the keyboard, you'll usually find me bouldering (I've been climbing since I was young) or gaming on PC—from competitive shooters like CS with friends to single-player and idle games running in the background. In the Scouts, my totem is ingetogen steenarend.

I enjoy building things that work well behind the scenes, and every now and then, making sure they look good on screen too.
